(George Rozelle, Ph.D., QEEGD, BCN, Senior Fellow, Fellow of the Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, Mindspa Center for Integrative Wellness.)
Recent advances in neuroscience have shed new light on brain plasticity throughout the lifespan and have refuted old ideas of a hard-wired brain that steadily declines with age. Modern technology and time-honored wisdom both support the importance of the proper care and feeding of the brain. This presentation will cover the importance of mental exercise, physical exercise, nutrition, stress management, and meditative practices, as well as some lesser-known strategies. Happy and healthy aging is a possible and desirable goal for all. Dr. Rozelle will share what he has learned in thirty years of neurofeedback practice and research on the full spectrum of mental fitness from recovery from injury to enhancing peak performance.

Diet, Nutrition for Health and Healing
(Alice M. Newton A.P., member of the Tai Chi & Qi Gong Healing Institute)
Eating a healthy, nutritionally balanced diet is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. The foods we eat provide the fuel our bodies need to function physically, mentally, and emotionally. The challenge we face today, with so many choices, and so much misleading information, is how to discern what's healthy for us to eat and what's not. This presentation will help you gain an understanding of the importance of proper nutrition and its effects on wellness, empower you to make healthy food choices and clarify what constitutes a "healthy" and "balanced" diet.
3:15 to 4:00 PM:
Healing from Your Sound (voice) (Dr. Aihan Kuhn)
The sound of your voice has energy. With special practice using your own sounds, you can instantly feel the energy change. In addition to improving energy, the practice with sound helps people overcome emotional imbalances such as fear, anxiety, depression, and other emotional imbalance. The sound/voice practice also helps improve immune function, mental clarity, and lead to happiness. It is a great anti-aging practice. You don’t have to be a singer to practice with your voice, but through the sound practice, you may be able to sing beautifully sooner or later. At the conference, you will have fun while doing this practice with other people and feeling uplifted!
Ending with Practice of Qi Gong
4:00 to 4:30 PM:
