Anxiety Rescue with Movement Medicine
Zoom Class with Dr. Aihan Kuhn
Anxiety disorders are among the most common mental illnesses in America and affect people’s life and work. According to Mental Health America, over 21% of adults (42.5 million) are affected by these debilitating illnesses each year. Medications can help, but the side effects may cause other problems, and these problems can affect life quality.
Qi Gong is one of the methodologies in holistic medicine that can help people relieve anxiety immediately. It is easy to do, and you can do it any time you need.
With lifetime experience in Movement Medicine, Dr. Kuhn will explain how Qi Gong works to help relieve anxiety and provide practical self-help techniques. She will teach a set of Qi Gong movements that you can start to use right away to gain benefits. These movements will be sent to all participants.

Just a note to tell you how much I enjoyed this 'special edition' class on 6/13, "Anxiety Rescue." This is something everyone should take, regardless of current stress levels. The combination of talking points and sound advice, coupled with a set of simple but powerful Qi Gong exercises is extremely helpful and good sound practice for promoting calm and relaxation.
Thank you for another wonderful class, Dr K!

My feedback on the class "Anxiety Rescue".
- The Qi Gong exercise is easy to do, not too long, at the same time powerful. I assume that even for people totally new to qigong, they will feel the energy moving, releasing..
- the explanations on the relationship between anxiety and heart, lungs bring needed clarification to why it is important to use the body.
- I liked the holistic approach to the class design: explanations, including references to the parasympathetic nervous system and the main blood vessels, combined with the movements, and massage, really engaged the mind in the last exercise when we moved the qi from the soles of the feet to heart and lung.
All in all, it was a great class and now I am practicing the whole sequence to make sure I have this extra tool kit in my mental qigong resources. Thank you.
