As the world deals with increasing stress, with the virus affecting human life, people are looking to Tai Chi for stress reduction, strengthening the immune system, and maintaining balanced energy and emotion. There is an increasing need for Tai Chi Instructors.
Our instructor training course is offered in a combination of Zoom classes and home study. There are 5 Zoom classes in 5 weeks, 1 hour and 30 minutes each class. The first Zoom class will give you an overview and instruction on using this program efficiently. It will guide students to study/practice at home and explain what to expect each week. Students will then start their home study journey by reading the training manual and learning the Tai Chi steps following the instructional videos. The subsequent classes are to check each student's progress and make corrections for the exercise movements. Dr. Kuhn will answer all questions that students have. The final Zoom class is to check students' performance and teaching skills described in the home study manual.
Upon completing this course, students will get a certificate by email. The student will become a certified Level I Tai Chi Instructor and will be able to teach anywhere in the world. The certificate is good for two years. After two years, the student will need to be re-certified by either taking a private lesson (by appointment) to continue their Level I instructor certificate or take a Level II Tai Chi Training Course.
Testimonial: Thank you for offering the Tai Chi Instructor training class. It was much more than I could have imagined. Your style of teaching helped me to understand Tai Chi and your insights for what I needed to work on were very helpful. I enjoyed the sense of community we had as a group. I have a whole new level of appreciation for Tai Chi and what it has to offer us. --Mike G.
