Qi Gong for Total Body Tune-Up

10-Week Zoom Class
Starting 7:30 PM Monday October 28, 2024.

(Intermediate level)

This unique Qi Gong exercise was designed by Dr. Kuhn to tune up the entire nervous system. It is an intermediate level, but anyone can participate with a healing mind. Each movement targets meridian pathway(s) and opens meridian and nervous pathways, which benefits the entire body and organ systems, especially the Neuromuscular system.

Practicing this Qi Gong form regularly is a wonderful preventive self-care practice. It also helps relieve symptoms of pain and aches, headaches, chronic inflammation, removing brain fog, alleviating anxiety, and depression, and reducing stress immediately. You feel improved energy and emotion, muscle strength and flexibility; your body becomes more relaxed, your posture improves, your digestive system improves, and you feel like you have a younger body over a period of time. 

Please wear comfortable (soft) clothes and shoes.

The Zoom recording will be sent to participants for their home practice.

Feedback from Students "Qi Gong for Total Body Tune-Up", 10-week Zoom Class I have been lucky enough to take many courses with Dr. Kuhn over the last 4 years, thanks to the availability of zoom. Each class has been fantastic, but this class is exceptional.  I have been practicing Therapeutic Qi Gong from DVD for some years now. The last 10 weeks took the exercises a step further and created a fantastic daily workout. I notice it seems to be helping my 'weak spots' in my neck and lower back, which is very encouraging.

The format of the class is excellent. Some highlights:

- Each class focused on one or two moves only. Carefully explained with emphasis on the health benefits, and demonstrated slowly and repeatedly giving time to absorb and practice in class

- Each class repeated the sequence of moves up to that day - another chance to repeat, repeat, and repeat while watching Dr K

- Having a recording of the moves after each class has been a critical success factor. If I were to rely on memory and my notes still, I would miss out on the important details and flow. Watching Dr K do the form so gracefully and powerfully is inspiring.

My goal is to be able to do this without my notes and continue to make this a daily practice for flexibility, strength and good health.

I truly enjoyed the class. I think being able to have you as an instructor and all your years of knowledge and the way you explained things was very good. I did not get to practice as much as I would like to, but I will in the future.

The "ball" movement as well as the last movement were ones that felt very good to. As a beginner, I found the last 3 movements, right before the last movement - to be the most difficult. However, I expected to find some difficulties.

I would like to continue taking classes and if you decided to have several sessions of just going through these movements with a group, I would like to do that. I am also interested in other classes. I am younger than you, I see you as an inspiration. I hope to be as flexible and physically fit as you are at your age.

Yes, this advanced Qi Gong form has made a big difference in my health, physically - Feeling deep warmth thru spine, extremities, tendons, palms, improved brain circulation, focus, opening channels meridian pathways; e.g. Look to stars, Dragon comes out of water, all movements.  My leg, hip knee, pelvic area improving so much with circulation, flexibility where had been not since injuries, arm improving with your direction.

Emotional benefits are wonderful with this form, and practicing with music, more calm, relaxed, balanced, positive!   Spiritual feeling from slow movement to earth, stars, moon, and Universe all open connecting with, very strong, beautiful with your direction and music.  I look forward to continuing practice daily with your recordings, and on my own.  Thank you!

I’m so grateful you offered this class on Zoom so I could participate from Western MA. Your description of the numerous benefits of this class convinced me to join and I was not disappointed.  Your format for teaching is very effective—introducing a couple of movements, demonstrating technique, reviewing in each class and the recording for practice on my own was invaluable.

 

Looking at the stars is the most challenging movement foe me. My knees protest. I am happy to report that this week I experienced real progress with this movement. Regular practice is possible to fit into any day and you are so correct that the gains are worth the effort.
