Tai Chi Sword is a special form of using the sword to perform Tai Chi. Regular practice helps to improve balance, focus, coordination, muscle strength, joint flexibility, self-confidence, posture, emotion, and much more. It also helps to prevent ailments of the arms and hands. Many consider Tai Chi Sword to be one of the most beautiful/powerful forms of Tai Chi exercise. In addition, the sword symbolizes a spiritual tool as well as a tool for self-defense.
Tai Chi experience is a plus but is not required. We recommend participants bring their swords. If you don't have one, you can use a substitute or borrow it in class. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
